The environmental impact of plastic waste is widely understood with single use plastics being the biggest problem. Progress has been made in the recycling of single polymer waste streams, but little made with mixed, co-mingled plastic packaging (especially Multi-Layer Films) as these are generally more difficult or often impossible to commercially separate.
Over the last 20+ years we have developed the HydroPor® process. This process tolerates these mixed plastics allowing for a greater range of historically unusable plastic waste streams to be processed and thus avoiding the need for landfill. In most instances no washing or pre-preparation is required.
It is our policy only to use recycled materials in the production of HydroPor permeable products.
The lightweight construction allows for effortless on-site handling and installation, eliminating the need for costly on-site lifting equipment. The installation is rapid and benefits from minimum trenching and the resultant spoils disposal usually associated with drainage works. Carbon saving every step of the way.
HydroPor permeable plastic panels are manufactured from endless strands of recycled plastics, welded together to form an extremely strong structure. The panels are an answer to the age-old question; how can we use seemingly ‘unrecyclable’ plastics and support the circular economy?

Materials
A wide range of co-mingled thermoplastics are tolerated in our internationally patented process, including Multi-Layer Films and Films with Aluminium Coating. We have also successfully used HDPE potable water pipe, complete with the Aluminium Barrier with great success.
HydroPor panels have been the preferred solution for many National Infrastructure and other drainage projects across the UK. They enable faster project completion and reduce costs for our public and private sector customers alike. Our customers also report significant improvements in site safety and maintenance efficiency.
